September BLOG

Well September is upon us already ! This month we have the Eurogamer_Expo at Earl’s Court on Saturday 29’th for all those attending this year.

Playable games at this year’s event include :

to name just a few …….  The full list can be found here : Eurogamer line up

I understand that the ACOG showing at this year’s event will be minimal, which is a real shame, but none the less, a good time should be had by those attending. The Saturday opening has now SOLD OUT of tickets, but there is still one ticket available via Digital for early entry at 10am if you change your mind. Just drop me a PM to let me know if you want it,(It’s free).

I am looking forward to trying out MOH :Warfighter and Farcry3 as I have one of these games on pre-order, BLOPS2 will also be on my list to try. I am not going to pre-order BLOPS2, but I am still interested to see what this next one is like. BLOPS the original is still a good game to play for me and a few others, but will it get my cash ? Probably in the end…..

Battlefield 3 : Armored Kill is hitting our consoles this month as well.Premium PS3 owners get it this Tuesday 4’th and XBOX360 Premium get it on Tuesday 11’th, for the non-premium guy’s it will hit later this month on the 18’th/25’th. Looking at all the recent footage and stills. DICE look to have created some great and the biggest maps yet for us to battle it out on. Alborz Mountain and Bandar Desert are what I am looking forward to the most as they look epic. So, PS3 guy’s, let us 360 owners know what it’s like … Please .

The upcoming Armored Kill expansion pack is set to bring in 5 new achievements/trophies, which bumps up the total to 53 achievements (1,360 gamer points) and 54 trophies. The achievement/trophy list for Armored Kill is listed below:

They look a bit easier than some that have been out previously.

Also this month see’s the last content drop for MW3, and I must say some of these new maps look really good, check out the video below :

That does look good don’t it ? November 13’th brings us BLOPS2 so this should be enough until then to keep your COD interest happy.

Where’s your money going ? Don’t say you won’t buy it because you will, it’ll only take a few ACOG to say “How good it is now”, peer pressure ftw !!

New games coming up :

F1 2012 from Codemasters : Release date 21’st September

The F1 games have had a limited success within ACOG, but there is a following none the less. Here is an extract from Codemasters developers Diary :

“Significant work has gone into the physics model, particularly the suspension, which has a real sea change in the feel of the car,” said Stephen Hood, Creative Director. “You can really attack the track. It’s those extra elements that make you feel like a real FORMULA ONE driver.”

“The whole weather scenario system has really been refined this year,” said Paul Jeal, Game Director. “You’ll get weather fronts come in now and it could be raining at one section of the track but dry on another. So you get those moments where you’re not sure which tyres to be on and that really mixes up the racing.” Stephen Hood added, “If you want that FORMULA ONE experience, the stuff we’ve been doing in 2012 has moved on a whole new generation now.”

FIFA 13 Ultimate Team Edition  from EA : Release Date 28’th September

We have a few FIFA players within ACOG but we have NEVER had a FIFA League to my knowledge ?

Due out in October is Pro-Evolution Soccer 13 from KONAMI as an alternative to FIFA 13

ACOG

The ACOG site has become a bit of a ghost town recently as some of  it’s more prolific members seem to have gone AWOL. The chatbox has become almost inactive, with the use of the  becoming almost a daily sight. Have some of us moved on or become bored with what is NOT happening within ACOG. The lack of a good game perhaps, as the leagues don’t seem to be that enthused about much anymore. The fragmentation of it’s members perhaps, some playing BF3, others playing MW3, and some on XBOX ? ACOG needs an injection of enthusiasm to kickstart it back into the lively site that it once was. Is it just that we don’t have time like we used to, or we have discovered a whole new world out there away from our consoles ? Whatever is going on ACOG is approaching it’s 3’rd birthday in November and we need to get ourselves back on track or we may not see our 4’th birthday ! This is my personal opinion and if you have a comment then please feel free to leave some.

Don’t let this happen

Film out soon to watch : Looper

In 2072, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to ‘close the loop’ by transporting back Joe’s future self.

And Finally :

Where the f*ck is this job ?

See you next month
